PiLog Supplier e-Catalogue Management
This module is designed to work with the PiLog Supplier Master Acquisition tool (SMA) and PiLog Asset Data Acquisition tool (ADA). The purpose is to host supplier electronic catalogues and make them available to the PiLog search engines and for procurement without cataloguing the items formally. The user populates his shopping basket from the search results and multiple shopping baskets are catered for. The items are returned from a shopping basket the standard ERP catalogue interfaces, commonly referred to as the catalogue punch-out.
The following functions are available:
- Up-Load of Supplier catalogues via a pre-formatted Excel spreadsheet process. The system will automatically upload items that do not exist or update existing items that do exist from the Excel file – ease of use for the Administrator. Different file formats can be provided on request if required (i.e. text files or r-XML).
- Price updates can be done via pre-formatted Excel spreadsheets. The e-Catalogue makes provision for future prices to be uploaded (price expiry and price active dates per price type), price types, contract codes and account codes. The system will automatically make the price inactive on expiry without intervention from the administrator for prices pre-loaded. SAP Integration – Different external catalogue’s can be defined in SAP that point to any specific PiLog Supplier e-Catalogue or any combination of Supplier e-Catalogue’s depending on the procurement strategy of the customer. In addition, if purchasing group are set-up to auto purchase, and the e-Catalogue is loaded to the contract, auto purchasing can be effected.
- Applicable Price dates are linked to a validity period.
- Supplier part creation software forms part of this module. Through this module, suppliers can upload or register online their own catalogues and update prices. All changes made by suppliers are routed through a nominated Approver to review items and price updates for contract compliance before activating the updates.
Please note the supplier data does not necessary conform to the chosen cataloguing standard will not be converted automatically.
