PiLog’s approach in all projects is to clearly define the business case that drives the project and to identify possible additional business cases. This is then reverse engineered to design a project that is focused on supporting the business case and delivering a platform for future growth. The challenge with Master Data Management lies in translating the business case in exact Master Data requirements. Through our experience, PiLog developed unique methodology to do this. Furthermore, PiLog’s field proven approach is to firstly clearly define the current state of Master Data Management, the problem areas, shortcomings etc. This is followed by defining and developing the required solution that will meet the needs of the customer and in particular the business cases that have to be pursued. A Gap analysis is performed and a roadmap of action plans that are required to move the customer to the required state of Master Data Management is drafted. This determines the actual scoping of the implementation project.
