Customer Enablement
It is important that customer personnel are well versed in the maintenance of their data after conclusion of the project phase, to protect the item master data integrity and investment made by the customer. To this end PiLog offers Cataloguer training courses to customer personnel, who would fulfil the role as Group or Site Cataloguer in the customer organisation. The training would include the following :
- Cataloguers procedures – The concept, rules and principles of Cataloguing are taught and the basic procedures for Cataloguing of items are defined. The student is also trained in the practical utilisation of the PiLog catalogue software as part of the procedures.
- Standards – The use of templates, standards and dictionaries are discussed and the different applications and definitions explained.
- Quality Control – Quality control of cleansed data is critical to ensure effective master data management, and students are trained in the actual quality control checks to be carried out on cleansed data.
